I’m sure you are monitoring developments involving the coronavirus to manage the impact on your family and or organization/business, as we are doing the same at Nanny By Design.
It is important that we ensure the health of our caregivers and the families they care for. With that being said, here are the strict guidelines we have put in place to serve as many healthy families as we can! Households with contagious viruses or that are experiencing serious symptoms such as fever or vomiting are not eligible for care. We will not service known families with a household member, an individual staying in the home, or an individual present in the household on a regular basis (e.g. nannies, caregivers, home health workers, contractors, etc.) who has been in close contact with someone quarantined or diagnosed with the coronavirus.
We are encouraging our caregivers to continue to use their good hygiene skills, practice social distancing, and to follow the guidelines laid out by the CDC on self care. The following guidelines are effective immediately for our caregivers. Any caregiver who has a confirmed case of COVID-19 or who has had known contact with someone who may have the COVID-19 virus must provide proof of medical diagnosis and clearance before they can be booked or replaced. If a caregiver or family member in their household has traveled to or from a CDC Level 3, or CDC Level 2 area (as designated by the Centers for Disease Control), they cannot be booked into jobs unless they do not experience symptoms of COVID-19 for a 14-day period upon return to the US. Designations are available on the CDC website and are updated regularly by the CDC). Caregivers are to notify Nanny By Design immediately if they have a suspected or confirmed case of COVID-19 or recently returned from a Level 2 or Level 3 area, as designated by the Centers for Disease Control.
To do our due diligence, our placement manager will ask additional screening questions to both families requesting care at the time of each booking and nannies and babysitters asked to provide care before confirming each booking. Our nannies and babysitters are also required to wear a face mask or covering during shifts.
We will monitor COVID-19 developments daily and make the necessary changes to our operations accordingly. Please feel free to schedule a call or email us to discuss any additional questions or concerns you may have! We look forward to assisting our community and especially those essential personnel jobs as best we can so that we can all get through this together quickly and safely!
