You can submit an inquiry under our "Families" tab to start your registration process and schedule your free consultation call with our Client Care Specialist. Email is usually the best way to reach us as we may be out in the field throughout the day!
2. How much does hiring a nanny cost?
Each member receives a customized placement package based on their unique needs. After conducting the consultation, the agency will create a package for your family. Occasional, event care, and church care nannies are always paid through the agency. Full-time and part-time nannies are paid directly when they become your family's domestic employee. Full-time nannies make an average of $20-$25 per hour while part-time nannies average $18-$22 per hour. Nannies are also paid overtime for any hours exceeding 40 per week. The agency charges a placement fee when providing part-time or full-time nannies that is 18% of the nanny's annual salary.
3. What is the process of hiring a babysitter?
Nanny By Design babysitters are employed by the agency. Clients can register directly on our website and our Client Care Specialist will conduct a free consultation. Clients pay a $250 registration fee and complete agency paperwork and then they are ready to start requesting care! Our babysitters come straight to our clients' homes/facility ready to jump right in and provide care!
4. Are your nannies screened?
All Nanny By Design nannies and babysitters go through a meticulous screening process. This process includes phone interviews, reference checks, face-to-face interviews, and a thorough background check. The background check includes (but is not limited to) driving record, criminal history, and sexual offender registry check. Nanny By Design nannies also attend an agency Orientation and Training as well as multiple additional trainings throughout the year. Nanny By Design also conducts yearly reviews with each employee.
5. What requirements do your nannies have to meet?
All of our nannies have at least three years of professional experience, provide us with three child care references, are 18 years and older, and are CPR/First Aid certified. They also go through an extensive background check. They must be passionate about child care and love working with children!
6. How long does the nanny placement process take?
We recommend allowing approximately 4-8 weeks to find your family's perfect match! Nanny By Design works hard to find the right fit for our clients and we don't want to get it wrong by rushing the process!
7. How do you differ from daycare or other child care options?
Nanny By Design offers a boutique experience when it comes to childcare needs. From our custom consultation, to periodic check ins, to trainings and employee incentives, we are actively involved throughout the entire process and nanny placement. Each candidate is personally matched to the member. Our nannies are also dedicated, passionate, and enthusiastic about caring for children. Our nannies provide children with one on one interaction as well as assisting the family with day to day household duties. Our nannies promote and encourage developmental and educational activities appropriate to each child's growth.
8. Where do you provide services?
We provide all of our services throughout the state of North Carolina. The areas we specialize in are The Triad (Greensboro, High Point, Winston-Salem), The Triangle (Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill), Charlotte metro area, and Wilmington.
